  • Winona State Accreditation Information:  Winona State University is accredited for Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Programs by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).

What Will I Study?

  • Advising Guides
    • Traditional ADN Advising Guide

      This track is intended for students that do not have an LPN license. If admission requirements are met, students will start out in the traditional track for attainment of their nursing degree.

    • LPN to ADN Track Advising Guide

      This track is intended for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) who want to become an RN. If admission requirements are met, LPNs will receive advanced standing in the RN program and will be granted 5 credits towards the attainment of their nursing degree.

  • Core Nursing Skills: Develop fundamental nursing skills in patient care, medical treatments, and emergency response.
  • Advanced Patient Care: Learn specialized skills in administering medications, managing patient care, and using psychological therapies.
  • Licensure Preparation: Complete the necessary coursework to prepare for the NCLEX-RN® licensure exam.
