Brian Staska

Brian Staska is the Fire and Public Safety Coordinator for Riverland Community College. Brian comes to us from Owatonna after serving 12 years as a Department Captain with the Owatonna Fire Department and 11 years as a paramedic with Gold Cross Ambulance Service. He also has been teaching fire training and industrial safety with Riverland Community College since 1992.

Brian is State certified at the Firefighter II level and holds an advanced safety certificate from the National Safety Council. He is a member of the 6-time Region/National Championship Auto Extrication Team as the Incident Commander, member of the International Fire Instructors Association while he serves on the Board of Directors for the Fire Instructors Association of Minnesota.
