Fundamentals of Network Security

Do you want an edge in the highly competitive computer security field?

This one-year Riverland program will teach you to design and implement security solutions that can reduce the risk of revenue loss and vulnerability. Your classes will be a combination of hands-on experience, instructor led training and e-learning, just as it is with the current courses offered by Cisco Networking Academy.

There will be particular emphasis on: security policy design and management; security technologies, products and solutions; firewall and secure router design, installation, configuration and maintenance; AAA implementation using routers and firewalls; VPN implementation using routers and firewalls; and how to properly conduct a computer forensics investigation.

This certificate program will help to prepare you for the following network industry standard certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+
  • SAIR/GNU and LPI Linux Security
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Security Exam Code: 640-554 IINS
  • CompTIA Security+ Exam Code: SY0-401 or JK0-022 (Riverland CompTIA Academy Code)

Prerequisites

- Prerequisites for Fundamentals of Network Security: Successful completion of CCNA 1900 - 1930 or a valid CCNA Certificate in addition to the required courses.
