Riverland’s Education programs prepare you for careers that shape young people, in the classroom and on the field. Choose from two paths: teaching, or coaching and physical education. Each gives you an affordable, supported start toward your degree or credential.

Teaching

Start your path to the classroom. Minnesota schools need qualified teachers, and this pathway gives you an affordable, supported first two years close to home.

A.A. · 60 credits · 4 semesters · transfers to Winona State

Your first two years toward becoming a licensed elementary teacher. Through a partnership with Winona State University, you finish your bachelor’s online while staying close to home, with early classroom experience along the way.

Coaching and physical education

For careers on the field and in the gym, from coaching school sports to physical education, athletic training, and sport management. Coaching remains a high-demand field.

A short, focused path to coaching in school sports. Meets Minnesota State High School League standards for head and varsity coaches.

A.A. · 60 credits · 4 semesters · campuses or online

A transfer degree for careers in physical education, coaching, athletic training, and sport management. Build a strong foundation, then continue toward a bachelor’s degree.
