Madison Sauke

1 - Madison Sauke / Austin, MN / Freshman

Madison is a catcher and right fielder for the Blue Devils this season. She is a member of the student senate and honorary member of PTK (Phi Theta Kappa). Her favorite food is oranges. She enjoys painting, drawing, and playing with her dogs. She is perusing business and is planning to transfer to Metropolitan State University in ST. Paul after Riverland. Her favorite thing about softball is being with the girls! Her favorite Riverland instructor is Jon Olseth, and her favorite class is Honors Composition II.
Fun Fact: Maddie is a skilled home chef!!

2 - Kayla Swenson / Rose Creek, MN / Sophomore

Kayla plays pitcher, catcher and short stop for the Blue Devils. Kayla was a multisport athlete in high school participating in softball, volleyball, and basketball.  She lettered all 4 years of high school in softball and 2 years for volleyball. She was all conference first team honorable mention and academic all-conference.  Her favorite food is tacos. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, and watching Netflix. Her plans after Riverland are to find a full-time job in her career path. Her favorite part of softball is diving for balls and competing.
Fun Fact: Kayla makes killer Oreo balls!!

Faithlynn Meyer

3 - Faithlynn Meyer / Blooming Prairie, MN / Freshman

Faithlynn plays second base for the Blue Devils. She was on her high school gymnastics team. Her favorite food is Mac N’ Cheese. She likes to spend her spare time hanging out with friends. Her favorite thing about softball is being part of a team again. She is majoring in Elementary Education. After Riverland, she plans to attend school in Winona to finish her degree.

Mera Harris

6 - Mera Harris / Austin, MN / Freshman

Mera is a catcher and left fielder for the Blue Devils.
Fun Fact: Mera is a twin.

Jennie Kaupa

7 - Jennie Kaupa / New Richland, MN / Freshman

Jennie plays 3rd base for the Blue Devils. She is the first person to get the Star Award for the Albert Lea campus. She is the treasurer for the Student Senate for Albert Lea and Owatonna. She was a skills USA officer in 2016.  She has been teaching outdoor recreation/ rock climbing for the past 6 years. In her free time she enjoys playing Minecraft!! Her favorite food is shrimp! Her favorite teacher is Jenny Corey-Gruenes. Her favorite class is Honors Composition II. She is studying Phycology. After Riverland she will be transferring to Winona to continue her Phycology Major!
Fun Fact: She has learned to like ice baths!!

Danielle Garcia

10 - Danielle Garcia / Safford, AZ / Freshman

Dani plays first base for the Blue Devils. She was a volleyball and softball player in high school. She received and honorable mention and 2nd team all-district at the first base position. In her free time she enjoys watching Netflix. She is studying Elementary Education. After Riverland she will be going to the school in Arizona to continue her education and softball career. Her favorite class is Survey of Children’s Literature. Her Favorite teacher is Jon Olseth.  Her favorite food is green chili chicken enchiladas. Her favorite thing about softball is being able to do the splits at first base to catch the ball.
Fun Fact: Danni’s laugh will make you laugh!!

Jasmine Anderson

13 - Jasmine Anderson / Blooming Prairie, MN / Freshman

Jasmine is a pitcher and second basemen for the Blue Devils.

Abigal Siggard

16 - Abigal Siggard / New London - Spicer / Freshman

Abigail plays right field for the Blue Devils. In high school she participated in sideline cheer, competition cheer, gymnastics, robotics, speech, and SWAT. Her favorite food is meatloaf. In her spare time she likes to volunteer her time, take pictures, and make jewelry. She is studying to be a medical assistant and an EMT. After Riverland she wants to spend her time traveling the world and volunteering. Her favorite thing about softball is being part of a team and getting to know her teammates. Chuck Meyer is her favorite instructor.

Nyanto Gash

22 - Nyanto Gash / Freshman

Nya also plays right field for the Blue Devils. Nya comes to us all the way from Nairobi, Kenya. During her high school career, she participated in basketball and track. She is now very excited to be part of the college softball team. During her high school career she was awarded and honor certificate as a freshman and sophomore. She was awarded youth of the month and youth of the year by the Boys and Girls Club. In college Nya is an honors student and is part of  Phi Theta Kapa. She is part of the student senate, amnesty, multicultural organization and TRIO. She is studying to get her AA and then move into Phycology and exercise science. After Riverland she plans to transfer to a 4 year college. Her favorite thing about softball is that is it is fun and challenging at the same time. She likes all of her instructors. Her favorite class is softball!!

Marissa Mortenson

24 - Marissa Mortenson / New Richland, MN / Freshman

Danielle Hinz

25 - Danielle Hinz / Austin, MN / Sophomore

Danielle play pitcher, 2 base, and outfield for the Blue Devils.  She graduated high school with honors.  She was a multisport athlete participating in: Volleyball, basketball, and softball. For her efforts in softball she received honorable mention 1 time, all section and all-conference honors twice and received the Ace- Award last year for pitching at Riverland.  Danielle is majoring in Elementary Education and will do her last 2 years as a Winona student through Riverland. In her spare time, she like to hang out with her family and friends, and she love to binge watch Netflix when the weather keeps her inside.

Susan Irvin

33 - Susan Irvin / Riceville, IA / Freshman

Susie is a center fielder for the Blue Devils. She was on the A honor roll for 12 trimesters and continues that success at Riverland by being on the Dean’s list and the Presidents list. She is involved in the student athlete leadership team, food and fitness, 4-H, Phi Theta Kappa and Criminal Justice Society. In her spare time Susie likes to fish and visit her family’s farm. She is studying Law Enforcemnt, Correction, and AA Generals. After Riverland her plans are to attend a University to study Phycology or Biology. Favorite thing about softball is getting to know new teammates. She has multiple favorite instructors: Al Shuda, Rich Watkins, and Steve Wald. Favorite class is Field Experience for Law Enforcement.
Fun Fact: Although Susie enjoys fishing, she is terrified of worms!!
