Automated technology in today’s workplace calls for individuals who are highly skilled in the field of Mechatronics. Mechatronics Technicians are also trained in the field of Robotics. Today’s Advanced Manufacturing companies need Mechatronics Technicians who have knowledge and hands-on experience in these areas to be a multi-skilled technician. With training in Automation and Robotics Technology you will be ready to apply your skills in building, installing, and troubleshooting automated machinery systems for packaging, supply chains and other manufacturing applications. Diagnosing and quickly solving problems so production flow is maintained you will be prepared for a career that is set to grow as technology continues to advance. Graduates are eligible to enter the workforce or pursue an AAS degree in Automation Robotics and Engineering Technology at Riverland. Mechatronics Technicians typically work in manufacturing industries such as automotive, aerospace, electronics, and robotics. They may also work in service and maintenance organizations, research and development facilities, or in product design and testing departments.
