Mental Health

Your mental health matters. Riverland offers free and confidential resources to help students connect with virtual support, in-person counseling, crisis resources, and community referrals.

Need immediate mental health support? Call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Support is available 24 hours a day. If this is an emergency, call 911.

Start Here: Care Hub by Mantra Health

The Care Hub is Riverland's main access point for free mental health and wellness support. Students can use the Care Hub to connect with therapy, coaching, on-demand support, self-care tools, peer support, and basic needs support.

Students may receive up to 12 free therapy sessions per year. Support is also available during the summer for students enrolled in at least one credit.

Prefer In-Person Support?

Virtual tools like Mantra Health, Single Stop, and 211 are helpful resources, but they do not replace on-campus and in-person support. Many students prefer meeting with someone face-to-face, and Riverland continues to help students connect with in-person support options.

Mental Health and Basic Needs

Mental wellness is often connected to basic needs. Stress about food, housing, transportation, childcare, finances, or healthcare can affect a student's mental health and overall well-being.

Students can explore support through Riverland's Basic Needs Resources page or use Single Stop through the Care Hub.

Additional Community Support 24/7

211 is a free and confidential service that connects individuals with local community resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Access help by calling 211, texting MNHELP to 898-211, or visiting the 211 website.

These resources are for support and do not replace emergency services.
