In July, we were notified by Blackbaud, a company that provides Riverland Foundation with data management and software services, that they had experienced a data security incident. You may have already received a notification about this incident from other nonprofits you support, as Blackbaud’s fundraising and database services are used by thousands of nonprofit organizations worldwide. There are multiple ways to donate to the Riverland Community Collge Foundation. Leave your mark and support local students and community.
You can help dreams become reality through a number of giving opportunities
Endowments are gifts invested by the Foundation. Only the interest income, in accordance with your wishes, funds a specific purpose or area of greatest need. An endowment is a gift that will continually help Riverland students.
Gifts made through wills or trusts provide other opportunities to support the College. You may give a specific amount or a fixed percentage of your estate to the Foundation.
Each year, volunteers, families, coworkers and friends of Riverland come together to raise funds for scholarships and you can, too.
Scholarships
There are a number of scholarships available through the Riverland Community College Foundation that may help you achieve your educational goals. Scholarships are sponsored by friends of the College including staff, faculty, corporations, community organizations and individuals.
Riverland reminds all of education's importance during 'Growing Together' breakfast
Angela Terpstra’s career goal is to complete the Human Services program, then continue on to the College of St. Scholastica to get her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, which is offered at Riverland Community College. She is a single mother of 3 little boys and is very active in her community. During Angela’s fulfilling volunteer journey, she has met many social workers and feels that she has found her calling to truly help people and others in her community.
Jessica Huston will be graduating this year with a Registered Nursing degree and will continue on with her education to complete the Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. She wants to work in the emergency room, intensive care, long-term care, traveling nurse and hospice nurse. Someday, she would like to continue on with her education to achieve her Doctorate in Nursing degree. Jessica has always loved helping others and taking care of people.
