Military Coursework and Skills Documentation

Riverland recognizes eligible military training and service for academic credit when it meets ACE or equivalent standards. This page explains how to submit military transcripts and shows Riverland courses that may be awarded through military coursework and skills documentation.

How to Submit Military Coursework

  1. Request that an official military transcript be sent directly to Riverland Community College.
    1. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, and Coast Guard: Students who are serving or have served in these branches may request an official transcript through the Joint Services Transcript (JST).
    2. Air Force: Students who earned credit through Air University (AU), Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), or Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) may request an official transcript from the appropriate regionally accredited institution.
  2. The transfer specialist will review your military training transcript using American Council on Education standards for military programs.
  3. Once the evaluation is complete, the Registrar’s Office will notify you by email with instructions on how to view your transfer credit.
