This partnership gives our students factory-level Ford/Lincoln training, industry certifications, and hands-on experience with the latest vehicles—like the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E.

Difference between Automotive General Service Technician Diploma: and Automotive Service Technology Diploma: 

Automotive General Service Technician Diploma:

  • 35 credits over two semesters –
  • A shorter, more focused program that gets you into the workforce quickly
  • Emphasizes essential repair skills (engine, transmission, brakes, electronics, etc.) –
  • Focused on hands-on training with industry-standard equipment and tools

 Automotive Service Technology Diploma: 

  • 69 credits over four semesters
  • A longer, more comprehensive program that covers additional topics and skills
  • Covers similar core skills but goes deeper with advanced training
  • Includes opportunities for industry certifications (like EPA 609 and A6 Electrical/Electronics)
  • Integrates online components and a broader range of automotive systems
