Upon completion of this program, the graduate will:

• explain and interpret historical data within a global perspective
• identify the impact of social institutions across global boundaries and relate it to our everyday lives
• examine and critique global issues that are fundamental to society
• demonstrate knowledge of how states and societies are influenced by cultural, political, economic and ecological global forces within a historical and contemporary dimension
• discuss cultural differences that may affect economic, political, cultural, and ecological solutions to global issues
• read and articulate the concept of a world citizen and the moral involvement needed in a global society
