Understanding RN Licensure Requirements and State Standards

Successful completion of the Registered Nursing degree program at Riverland Community College will meet the requirements for certification in Register Nursing by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.  Certification by Minnesota Board of Nursing  is required by Minnesota as well as by Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Florida, Iowa,  Kentucky,  Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts,  Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin states to acquire a state license to practice the profession of Register Nursing  or for employment as a certified/licensed Registered Nursing.  Riverland highly recommends that you contact the appropriate state licensing board in the state or locality in which you wish to practice or be employed.
