Riverland’s Peace Officer/Public Safety Non-POST Associate of Science degree gives students a strong foundation for careers in law enforcement and public safety.

This degree is designed for students who do not need Minnesota POST skills training as part of their program. It is a good option if you plan to work outside Minnesota or continue your education before entering the field.

You’ll build knowledge in criminal justice, public safety, and law enforcement while preparing for future career or transfer opportunities.

Understanding the Non-POST Option

Riverland offers more than one pathway in public safety. The Non-POST AS degree does not include the Minnesota skills training required for peace officer licensure in Minnesota.
