Accuplacer Placement Testing

Placement During Pandemic:

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Course Placement will temporarily be determined based on varying measures that may or may not include Accuplacer scores. This is to ensure the health and safety of all involved.  Please follow the steps below to get registered for courses. Your Advisor will help you determine if it is necessary for you to take Accuplacer.

We are able to help you register for classes using the following steps:

  1. Apply Online to Riverland Community College- (PSEO/Concurrent students follow the steps found here)
  2. Submit High School Transcripts and assessment scores for ACT, SAT, MCA, etc.
  3. Submit transcripts for any college-level coursework taken at an accredited college or university
  4. Complete Online Orientation
  5. Meet with your Advisor. Schedule an appointment here

The Accuplacer assessment is used to provide you and the college with information about your current academic skill levels in reading and mathematics.

Your scores will be used to determine if you are ready for college level courses or if College Prep courses in English or Math are needed.
