OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course

This course is intended for persons who need a more comprehensive working knowledge of hazards affecting the construction industry. Emphasis is on areas within the construction sector that are most hazardous.  

Through the OSHA Outreach Training program, an OSHA-authorized Outreach trainer will deliver this course (4 days Actual Length). Upon successful completion students will earn the, “OSHA 30 Card for Construction.” This completion card is provided by the OSHA Training Institute. 

Learning Objectives: 

  • Understand importance of OSHA in regulating employee safety on construction sites  
  • Knowledge of employees' rights and employer responsibilities
  • Recognize construction processes, tasks, and equipment
  • Identify common hazards found in construction
  • Follow OSHA construction industry standards
  • Recommend prevention and correction strategies for violations and hazards found in construction
  • Recognize role of the workforce and management in improving safety culture
No course offerings at this time.

*OSHA 10 & 30-Hour courses are NOT the prerequisites for the, “OSHA 500- Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction.” Students seeking authorization to teach this curriculum must take, “OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 courses.” Finally, OSHA Outreach Training is voluntary and it cannot be utilized to meet an employer’s required compliance training responsibilities.
