MN State Patrol Commercial Vehicle
All certified Minnesota Commercial Vehicle Inspectors must be certified every two years to continue as certified inspectors. If your certification has been expired for more than six (6) months, you cannot attend the recertification class or perform inspections.
Moped Training
This 4.5-hour course includes moped rules and regulations, defensive riding techniques, protective clothing, and alcohol information. Any 15-year-old who wants to ride a moped on the street must complete this course to obtain a moped instruction permit. Anyone 16 or older with a valid driver's license may legally ride a moped on the street.
Basic Rider Course
Learn how to ride, and earn your motorcycle license endorsement in this 14.5 hour course featuring 10 hours of on cycle training and 4.5 hours of classroom training. Supportive and friendly instructors will teach you how to operate a motorcycle and the basic skills you need to safety ride on the street. Training motorcycles are provided for riders of all sizes. Minnesota law requires motorcyclists under age 18 to pass an approved Rider Skills Training course. While no previous motorcycle riding experience is required, it can be beneficial. Students must be able to ride a bicycle and must possess a valid driver's license or motor vehicle instruction permit. Each student must furnish his or her own protective clothing and DOT-approved helmet. 100% attendance is mandatory.
Intermediate Rider Course
If you're comfortable on your own motorcycle or scooter, the 5 hour Intermediate Rider Course will build upon your existing skills and knowledge. Newer motorcyclists, returning riders and experienced motorcyclists can all benefit from this course. The Intermediate Rider Course covers control, finesse, counter steering, corning, swerving and braking. Make the Intermediate Rider Course an annual tune up for your riding skills. Groups or clubs may purchase an entire Intermediate Rider Course for only $300. Passengers may participate for free.
