Clevertouch interactive displays are large (75” - 86”) touchscreens/tablets on roll-around carts. The displays can handle 10 simultaneous touches, so multiple people can be drawing on them at once. They’re great for in-class projects or group work in meetings. You can use them as electronic whiteboards--add new pages as you go--and save it afterwards as a pdf to share in D2L Brightspace or via email. You can reserve them for your classes/meetings via Outlook.
MediaSpace is a cloud-based program provided by the Minnesota State system office. It is a streaming media server, which allow you to upload all types of media--video, audio, and image files--which you can then insert into your online courses for use by students. Students also have access to MediaSpace, so they can use it for creating and submitting media-based assignments for their classes.
The Microsoft Office 365 suite is a hosted, online version of the traditional installed version of Microsoft Office software. This online service is subscription-based and includes Office, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business (Lync) Online and Microsoft Office Web Apps.
Infobase (formerly Hoonuit) provides a training library of more than 50,000 short, show-and-tell video training tutorials on more than 200 applications, including beginning computer training, D2L Brightspace, and many Microsoft and Adobe applications.
Adobe Connect is an online meeting and conferencing tool that is available for all Riverland students, faculty, and staff to use. It provides an online meeting room, which includes a number of tools for communication and collaboration.
