About Kim

Kim Nelson started her career with Riverland in November of 2017 as the Director of Grants and Alumni Relations. In January of 2022 Kim was named the Director of Career and Community Connections. As a member of the Advancement team, she will carry out the work of launching our Career Connections program which seeks to strengthen and form new mutually beneficial partnerships with industry partners who hire Riverland graduates. She brings passion for Riverland and experience in developing relations with community partners in Albert Lea, Austin, and Owatonna.
Kim came to Riverland with significant experience in community outreach and program development. She brings organizational management experience through her work as a director of non-profit childcare center to the position and the college.
