Riverland Community College put together one of the strongest regular-season resume's of any tournament team, rolling to a 22-5 overall record and 10-4 Conference mark.
The Blue Devils were co-champions with St. Cloud Technical & Community College but won a coin toss for the top South seed. Deandre Anderson is second in the MCAC in three-point field goal percentage at 47.8%. Kwantez Simmons hauls in more than eight rebounds a game for RCC at 8.4 a contest. Riverland will open with Northland CTC in the first round.
Game times and match-ups have been set for the 2018-19 Region XIII Men's Basketball Tournament held on the Coon Rapids campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College on March 1, 2 and 3.
Friday's action will feature all eight teams as the single elimination competition gets underway at 1pm. The tournament format features the top four finishers from the Northern and Southern Divisions of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference facing off in a cross-bracketed first round. Top seeds from each Division will take on the No. 4 seed from the opposite Division. The No 2. and No. 3 seeds will also compete against each other for the right to advance to the semi-final round on Saturday.
