Austin Beta Sigma Phi provides endowed scholarship to Riverland students
The Women of Beta Sigma Phi- Xi Kappa Chapter in Austin presents a check for $8,500 to Dr. Adenuga Atewologun, president of Riverland Community College and Steve Bowron, Riverland dean for institutional advancement, to begin their endowed scholarship to support Riverland non-traditional female students from Mower County.

Laura Beasley named Riverland Community College Director of Nursing
Laura Beasley has accepted the position of director of nursing at Riverland Community College. The director of nursing is responsible for providing leadership, direction and administrative support to the college’s associate degree nursing program. She replaces Riverland Nursing Director Nancy Genelin who is retiring at the end of the year.

Riverland Community College receives additional resources through a $39,700 grant to help low-income students weather financial emergencies. Students can apply for small grants to help cover expenses just beyond their means, which allows them to quickly return focus to their academic pursuits.
