High-Tech Anatomage Table Latest Addition
to Best-in-Class Radiography Program

Riverland Community College administration dedicated a new Anatomage Table at yesterday following a Ribbon Cutting by the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce in West Building of the Austin Campus.  An open house featuring tours and refreshments was also held.

The new $80,000 Anatomage (virtual cadaver) Table, presents physical anatomy—skeletal, muscular, circulatory, organs and soft tissue—in life-size 3D. Riverland purchased the Anatomage Table using donations from private businesses, an anonymous donor and matching funds from the Minnesota Legislature’s Leveraged Equipment Program.

The best-in-class radiography program’s graduating classes of 2014 and 2015 successfully completed the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam with a 100 percent pass rate. The five-year average ARRT exam pass rate is 94% on the first attempt. Program graduates experienced 100 percent job placement for the last five years.

Riverland's Radiography program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The 24-month, 83-credit program consists of radiography courses in Austin and clinical rotations in health care facilities across southern Minnesota. Elective credits for mammography, forensics, CT, and MRI are offered. Some graduates choose to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Science Leadership or Health Care through an articulation agreement with Concordia University-St. Paul.
