John Wells

The current exhibition features non-objective painting, meaning that the works are completely abstract, and derive their interest from a rich combination of texture, color and and balanced presentation of form. The works are a graceful yet powerful presence in the galley, with multiple layers of fascinating visual effects.

Wells has a Bachelor of Science degree in Design from the University of Cincinnatti. The artist has a long history in art, especially in the realm of design. Besides managing his own design firm, he was lead store designer for Target, Super Target and Mervyns corporations, managing projects with 50 to 60 million dollar budgets. He has exhibited his fine arts work extensively since his retirement.
