The James Wegner Art gallery is pleased to announce Night Approaches, which features work by three prominent Twin Cities area photographers- Will Agar, Chris Faust and Glen Grafelman. The technically difficult, yet immaculate silver gelatin black and white photographs suggest the mood and mystery of the city at night. The photos are haunting, capturing something of the desolation of empty spaces, while other works hint at human presence through shadows, ghost images, store mannequins and an unforgettable, oddly anthropomorphic tree. As our days inevitably grow shorter, Night Approaches offers a fresh appreciation of the strange beauty of nighttime hours.
