Pathology of Broken Promises exhibit by Minnesota Artist Wendy Fernstrum.
The current exhibition is comprised of thought provoking prints, collages, and books as a dialogue challenging our beliefs. Wendy creates a tension via her mixed media art in a way that provides more questions than answers. Her art utilizes printmaking techniques including monoprint and ‘chine-colle’. Wendy’s collections of prints and books have been hand stitched, woven, and bound in a means to create decadent book forms that challenge system of beliefs. One book being displayed is the “Pathology of Broken Promises”, it provides imagery through monoprints of circular cell structures. These structures imply a microscopic view of broken promises that at times we have not upheld to ourselves or to others.
