Bryan Parreira
RL Major: AA (Generals)
Hometown: Brasília DF, Brazil
Hello! I’m Bryan and I’m a student at Riverland planning on becoming a Physical Therapist one
day. I love soccer, psychology and reading in my spare time. I hope I can contribute to
Riverland’s community by helping others as a mental health advocate!
También hablo español. Si necesitas alguien que habla español o que entiende lo que es ser
primera generación en los Estados Unidos, aquí hay gente que te puede escuchar. ¡Yo soy una
de ellas!
I enjoy talking about mental health and I hope I can contribute to making it easier to talk about.
Challenges will arise in life, but that doesn’t mean that seeking help should be hard. I hope
those having a difficult time will be able to find support with the Active Minds program.

Judith Villar Lopez
Hola, my name is Judith Villar Lopez! I am planning to become an Elementary Education Teacher! This is my last semester at Riverland. I am an Austin Assurance Scholar, Phi Theta Kappa's President, and an Active Minds member. I am bilingual, I speak Spanish and English (Spanglish too).?
Being a college student can be challenging and/or overwhelming. Sometimes one forgets to take care of themselves and their mental health. Mental health along with self-care is important. I enjoy helping others. If you need someone to talk to and/or listen, I will be happy to do so. If you want to express yourself by talking while coloring with someone, playing Legos, solving a puzzle, or something like that, I will be happy to accompany you. Also, you can talk to me in Spanish, English, or Spaniglish if you wish. Feel free to reach out, gracias!

Melissa Meouchy
Hello, my name is Melissa Meouchy, I am an international student here at Riverland. I am currently studying psychology and would like to become a psychotherapist or clinical psychologist. I speak both French and English, so feel free to talk to me in whatever language you are most comfortable with.
Mental health is extremely important to me, we all have days where we simply need someone to talk to, so I hope to be that person for someone. If you’re ever feeling down, remember there is always someone out there willing to listen. I hope you have a wonderful day.
