This support group meets via Zoom biweekly on Tuesday at 5:00 PM MST. Sessions begin on July 19 and end on November 18.
This group is for mothers who lost a child to suicide. All of the participants are working through a complicated set of emotions. Our groups provide a safe, intimate place to talk about your feelings and honor your loved one who passed. It is a small, closed group.
PRE-REGISTRATION is required! To see if this is the right group for you please contact Marianne. After confirming you would like to join our group you will receive a private direct scheduling link via email which will ask for some of your information. You will then register and receive the reminders & zoom links for each session via email. We will also mail you a copy of The Wilderness of Suicide Grief – Finding Your Way by Dr. Alan Wolfelt Ph.D. and a journal.

This groups meets online the 4th Wednesday of every month, from 6:30-8pm CST.
We have two support groups meeting concurrently -- one for adults and one for teens. The groups are open to any teen or adult grieving someone important to them. Teens and adults discuss in separate groups. Whether you have lost a family member, friend, or coworker, and regardless of how much time has passed since their death by suicide, you are welcome to attend this group.

Sessions are available to any parent and/or guardian. Sessions are an hour in length meeting once a week, over a period of 6 to 8 sessions. Sessions are scheduled on the availability of the parent educator and the parent or guardian. These sessions include topics of parent education identified by the referring agency (if applicable) and the need and want of the parent. A sliding fee scale is available based on gross income and circumstance. Sessions are held in person in our office as well as via Zoom.
Sessions, emphasizing safe discipline methods, are taught by professional parent educators for parents challenged by multiple risk factors. Parenting classes are incorporated into Parents Forever divorce education, Fountain Centers Albert Lea Campus, and local county detention centers including Freeborn, Mower, Steele, Good Hue, Rice, and Wabasha County.

Details Recently a friend told Pastor Shari there was not a support group in the Austin, Minnesota, area for people with cancer like him. After investigating the situation, they became determined to create a support group immediately in Austin. Calls to the American Cancer Society provided information to help form the group. Just a few weeks later Austin has a cancer support group. Everyone is invited to participate! Please tell your friends, neighbors and loved ones about this ecumenical program.

Alzheimer’s Dementia Caregiver Support Group
The Alzheimer’s/Dementia Caregivers Support Group is designed to provide educational, emotional & social assistance for caregivers with the support group meetings. The Support group encourages caregivers to maintain their own individual, physical and emotional health, as well as ideas on caring for the person with dementia.
Caregiver support group is the 1st Tuesday of every month. 5:00 to 6:00 pm @ The Cedars Community Room. Our greeters will be at both entrances to guide you.
