Getting Started with Online Learning
We understand that beginning an online course can be a confusing and intimidating process, so we give you the following checklist so you will know where to begin and what you will need to do.
Brightspace Quick Reference Guide
Brightspace is an instructional/course management software package that allows students and instructors to work with materials via the Internet. To access Brightspace, you need a computer, Internet connection, and Internet browser.
Student E-mail
Riverland uses email as the primary means of communication with students. All students are required to log in to their student email account. Students at Riverland should check their email often for correspondence from Riverland representatives
Microsoft Office 365
The Microsoft Office 365 suite is a hosted, online version of the traditional installed version of Microsoft Office software. This online service is subscription-based and includes Office, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Skype for Business (Lync) Online and Microsoft Office Web Apps.
Online Tutoring
Students have three opportunities to access tutors online: Riverland's CRLA Peer Tutor Program, Tutor.com 24/7 Online Services and Brainfuse - Homework Help.
