Get ready to streamline your academic planning and secure your schedule early!
What is multi-term registration?
Multiple term registration allows students to register for more than one term at a time. It's possible for students to register for all three terms of the academic year at once. This will allow students to plan, register and secure their class schedule for a full academic year.
The course schedules are now available for viewing. Priority registration begins the week of March 18. Registration for new students, non-degree seeking, transfer and visiting students begins on March 25.
Who qualifies?
Multi-term registration is open to all degree-seeking students enrolled at Riverland and will benefit students with an academic plan the most. You will already know which classes you need to take if you’re following your academic plan and making academic progress.
When is my registration window?
Your registration window is based on the number of credits you have earned. You may login to your eServices account and under Courses & Registration, choose Registration Window. In the drop down box choose the term you want to register for and click Submit. It will state if your registration is opened or closed.
Do I have to register for all the terms at one time?
No, you are not required to register for all terms but it is highly recommended. You can register for any of the open terms.
Can students register for any term or do I have to register for summer first, fall second and then spring? Though not required, registering for the terms in order is highly recommended as it will allow you to meet any prerequisite requirements needed for a later term.
Can I register for a Spring 2023 course if I won't complete a prerequisite until Fall 2021?
Yes, once you register for prerequisite courses for Fall 2022, it will allow you to register for Spring 2023 courses.
What happens if I drop/withdraw/fail a class that is a pre-requisite for a course for which I registered for a future term?
You will be dropped from all courses for which you do not meet the pre-requisites.
Can I place myself on a course waitlist for any term?
Yes
Can I change my class schedule?
You can drop and add courses for any term until the posted deadlines. Drop/Add dates will be listed on the printed copy of your schedule. You are strongly encouraged to check with your advisor prior to making adjustments to your schedule.
Can I register for a course if I haven’t completed its prerequisite(s)?
Yes, if you are currently enrolled in the “prerequisite” course, you may register for the next course before you receive your grade. However, you will be dropped from the course if you do not pass the prerequisite class.
Do I need to see my Advisor every semester?
You are strongly encouraged to seek advising every semester. This assures that you are still on track for your academic plan and is an opportunity to discuss your current classes.
When is the last day to change my schedule for each term?
The last day to add or drop classes will vary depending on the term. Please see the Important Dates and Deadlines for exact dates for each term.
Do I have to pay for all the terms at once?
No, payment dates for future terms do not change.
When will I have to pay for each term?
Each term will have a separate tuition payment deadline. Please see the tuition due dates for exact dates for each term. If you are dropped for non-payment, your courses will be dropped from the current term. If you are registered for a future term, but have not paid for your current term, you will be dropped for nonpayment on the last day of your current term.
I have a hold on my account. How will this affect my ability to register?
Students with holds preventing registration will be blocked from registering for any term until the hold is resolved.
When will I receive my financial aid?
Financial aid disbursement will be on the 11th day of each term. Please visit Financial Aid tab in eServices to see specific details for your account.
I’m currently a high school student and plan to take classes at Riverland before I graduate. How will multi-term registration affect this?
There is no change. Students must complete the required PSEO paperwork for each term they wish to register.
I am a returning student and don’t plan to start classes until the spring semester. Can I wait to register?
Certain high demand classes may fill up. You have a better chance of getting the schedule you want/need if you register when your registration window opens.
