Rochester Community Warming Center provides the most vulnerable residents with a safe and warm place to sleep during the winter months. The warming center is located at 200 4th Street SE in Rochester, Minnesota. The warming center has sleeping space, shower stalls, restrooms, washers and dryers, and a kitchenette space. The warming center has sleeping spaces (bunk beds) for 42 people with appropriate spacing with COVID precautions. Guests are welcome from 8pm- 8am.

Freeborn County Homeless Shelter residents receiving assistance from a case manager helping them work toward stability, secure permanent housing and transition back into the community. The case manager works one-on-one with the household to develop a growth plan, improve financial literacy, and access other resources such as transportation, child care, job seeking skills, medical care, food and clothing. Community, Outreach, Resources, Empowerment - CORE
Description: Provides a place where youth who are at-risk or are currently experiencing homelessness to get help with basic needs (food, clothes, showers, laundry, etc.) and connect to case management and longer term services such as housing. Services may include:
- Assistance with benefits and public assistance applications
- Hygiene kits and other basic needs
- Laundry and showers
- Meals
- Referrals and access to shelter and housing
- Transportation assistance
- Use of phone number and mailing address for job applications
Dakota County Coordinated Entry: The Link is the provider of coordinated entry for Dakota County. Staff is housed within CORE to work in partnership with the county on coordinated entry. Mobile assessments for housing and ongoing support throughout the coordinated entry process are provided.
