The financial aid office would like to provide you with information to make your mid-year transfer from one school to another as simple as possible.

• Make sure that Riverland Community College's school code 002335 is on your FAFSA, or contact the Federal Processing Center at 1-800-433-3243.
• Make sure you respond quickly to any correspondence you receive from the Financial Aid Office.
• Once everything needed to complete your file has been received, an award letter will be generated. This document will indicate the types of aid for which you are eligible.
• Do not assume that you will automatically have the same eligibility at Riverland Community College. You may have used up all or a portion of your financial aid at another institution. It is important that you revise your financial aid application to add our college code and receive an award letter that will show your eligibility at Riverland Community College.
• Loans do not transfer from one school to another. You will need to have a complete financial aid file AND have received an award letter before you can apply for any type of student loan at Riverland Community College.
• Make sure you have a grade transcript sent to the financial aid office so we can determine your state grant eligibility at Riverland Community College.
• All students are required to attend an "Exit Counseling" session during their last term.
