Riverland Community Colleges encourages students to be an engaged resident of the state and citizen of the nation. To achieve that goal, students are encouraged to register to vote.

Voter Eligibility in Minnesota 

To register to vote in Minnesota, you must: 

  • Be a U.S. citizen. 

  • Be at least 18 years old on Election Day. 

  • Have lived in Minnesota for at least 20 days before Election Day. 

  • Not currently be incarcerated for a felony conviction. 

Note: If you're at least 16 and meet the other criteria, you can pre-register.
