A consortium agreement grants financial aid eligibility for courses that are part of your program of study at Riverland (the Home school), but are taken at another institution (the Host school). Each consortium agreement is approved on an individual, course-specific basis.
Criteria
- Courses must be required for your program of study.
- If taking a course as an elective, confirm with your Academic Advisor whether you have already met your elective requirements.
- If approved, Riverland will disburse additional aid for the course credits. You are responsible for using those funds to pay the Host school.
- If the agreement is not finalized before the Host school’s tuition due date, you may be dropped from the class. You are responsible for monitoring your registration status and meeting financial requirements at the Host school.
Process
- Submit your consortium agreement. The Registration Department will review it to determine if the course is required for your program.
- Based on this review, the Financial Aid Department will update your aid. You will receive an email notification of the decision.
- If approved, after completing the course, you must request an official transcript from the Host school and have it sent to Riverland.
