ALLISS Opportunity Grant
Alliss Educational Foundation Grant - A Program to Help Adults Get Back to College.
WHAT IS THE ALLISS GRANT?
This grant program encourages access to education and completion of a baccalaureate degree with a one-time award of $500. Before receiving the grant, you must meet with Riverland academic advisor to create a baccalaureate degree plan. Due to limited funding the grant is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ALLISS GRANT?
You must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible to apply for the ALLISS Grant:
- I have not earned a bachelor’s or higher degree.
- I have been admitted to Riverland in a degree-seeking program.
- I am enrolled in a program designed to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.
- I am in good academic standing at Riverland
- After completing at Riverland, I will enroll in a baccalaureate degree program.
- I will meet with a Riverland Academic Advisor or Counselor to create a baccalaureate degree completion plan before I receive any award.
- I have completed the FAFSA and am eligible to receive financial aid.
- I am in a Minnesota Resident.
HOW DO I APPLY?
- Apply for admission to the college and register for classes.
- Complete the ALLISS Grant application and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
- Develop an academic plan for baccalaureate degree completion.
- Complete a FAFSA for the 2019-2020 financial aid year.
HOW AND WHEN WILL THE GRANT BE PAID?
- If eligible, you will receive an award of $500 to be paid by the ALLISS Grant Foundation.
- Funds will apply to your Riverland account and pay any outstanding balance.
