Alliss Educational Foundation Grant - A Program to Help Adults Get Back to College.

WHAT IS THE ALLISS GRANT?

This grant program encourages access to education and completion of a baccalaureate degree with a one-time award of $500. Before receiving the grant, you must meet with Riverland academic advisor  to create a baccalaureate degree plan.  Due to limited funding the grant is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ALLISS GRANT?

You must meet all of the following requirements to be eligible to apply  for the ALLISS Grant:

  • I have not earned a bachelor’s or higher degree.
  • I have been admitted to Riverland in a degree-seeking program.
  • I am enrolled in a program designed to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.
  • I am in good academic standing at Riverland 
  • After completing at Riverland, I will enroll in a baccalaureate degree program.
  • I will meet with a Riverland Academic Advisor or Counselor to create a baccalaureate degree completion plan before I receive any award.
  • I have completed the FAFSA and am eligible to receive financial aid.
  • I am in a Minnesota Resident.


HOW DO I APPLY?

  • Apply for admission to the college and register for classes.
  • Complete the ALLISS Grant application and submit it to the Financial Aid Office.
  • Develop an academic plan for baccalaureate degree completion.  
  • Complete a FAFSA for the 2019-2020 financial aid year.

HOW AND WHEN WILL THE GRANT BE PAID?

  • If eligible, you will receive an award of $500 to be paid by the ALLISS Grant Foundation. 
  • Funds will apply to your Riverland account and pay any outstanding balance.
