A student’s education-related expenses not covered by financial aid will be examined. Students receive points for various levels of financial need. Additionally, students should describe financial need as requested on the scholarship application.
Students receive points for various levels of academic achievement. Students receiving the award must have at minimum a cumulative "C" average (2.00 GPA).
A detailed description of your education and career goals, including why you chose your major or career path and what you hope to achieve with after completing a degree or program at Riverland community College will be reviewed in this section of the application.
Your involvement in service to others is a consideration for selection. Share examples including what you do to help your family, how you’re involved in the community, and ways you positively impact the world.
Finally, your reason(s) for applying for scholarships and how being awarded will help you pay for your education will be reviewed. Share how a scholarship will help you when you attend Riverland, the family responsibilities that will impact your ability to pay for college, and you’ll pay for college without scholarship support.
A professional-looking and complete application can be a decisive factor for selection. Please respond professionally to each question and remember to check your grammar and spelling.
