$2,500 Scholarships Available for High-Skill, High-Demand Programs
Recent high school graduates and students returning to school from the workforce are encouraged to apply for Workforce Development Scholarships. Applicants must be enrolled in 9 or more credits at Riverland Community College and studying in a high demand program areas including healthcare, technology, advanced manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, or early childhood. The following is a list of programs available at Riverland in these high demand areas:
Early Award Application Deadline is April 15.
Final Application Deadline is July 15.
You’ll be notified the status of your award(s) by mail prior to your high school scholarship ceremony.
Eligible Schools: Albert Lea, Alden-Conger, Austin, Blooming Prairie, Glenville-Emmons, Grand Meadow, LeRoy-Ostrander, Lyle, Owatonna, Pacelli, and Southland.
Scholarships are funded through an appropriation from the Minnesota State Legislature for students studying at Minnesota State Colleges. Additional Workforce Development Scholarships are sponsored by local businesses including Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Federated Insurance, Austin Utilities, Allina Hospital, Koda Living Community, Owatonna Foundation, Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services, Minnesota Freezer Warehouse, and Metal Services of Blooming Prairie.
