Whether you want to get to work quickly, train in depth across every vehicle system, specialize in electric and hybrid vehicles, or work on diesel trucks and equipment, there's a pathway here that fits your goals and the experience you already bring. Every program is hands-on and taught at our Albert Lea campus.
Automotive
Work on cars, light trucks, and the growing number of electric and hybrid vehicles on the road. Start with a diploma to build your skills, then add a specialization when you are ready.
The fastest route into the shop. Build core skills in engines, brakes, transmissions, and electronics, and be ready to start working in two semesters.
The full program. Go deeper across every major vehicle system, earn industry certifications, and graduate with comprehensive diagnostic and repair training.
Learn to service high-voltage batteries, electric drivetrains, and hybrid systems, and add a skill employers are increasingly looking for.
Requires enrollment in the Automotive Service Technology diploma or instructor permission.
EPA 609 Air Conditioning and A6 Electrical/Electronics, through Riverland's ASE Master Certified program.
Diesel
Train on the heavy-duty engines and equipment that move freight, farms, and construction. A high-demand technical field with hands-on lab time from day one.
Hands-on training on diesel engines, commercial trucks, and agricultural equipment for a career in a high-demand technical field.
Diesel engines, transmissions and drivetrains, agricultural equipment, brake systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, and commercial vehicle HVAC.
Commercial vehicle repair, transportation companies, agricultural equipment dealerships, public transportation, and independent service centers.
The program meets ASE Education Foundation standards recognized by employers nationwide.
