Training and Development Courses

OSHA Outreach:

  • Local Training: OSHA outreach training classes delivered locally by authorized instructors.
  • Basic and Advanced Training: Courses covering everything from basic safety and health hazards to advanced recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards.

Certification

  • Upon successful completion of each course, students will earn an “OSHA 10 or OSHA 30” card for General Industry or Construction, issued by the OSHA Training Institute.

Peggy Young

Peggy Young has been with Riverland Community College since 1991 and joined the Riverland Customized Training and Education team in 2008.  Her focus is on Industrial Safety, Manufacturing, Leadership, Trade & Industry, and providing Strengths-based training as a StrengthsQuest Educator. Peggy is also the Department of Labor – MnAMP grant manager and MJSP grant coordinator for Riverland Community College.  Peggy works with individuals and business clients to provide solutions through customized training with a focus on curriculum enhancement and extended learning initiatives.

Connect with our Representative

Kim Schaufenbuel

Kim Schaufenbuel has recently joined Riverland Community College and brings with her training experience in the key areas of Leadership, Safety, Community Organizing, and Business practices. Additionally, Kim’s training responsibility will include Mental Health First Aid, Information Technology, Manufacturing, and Truck Driving, among other disciplines. Kim can provide a customized training solution for nearly any need presented in our communities.
