Basic Needs Resources
Riverland Community College is committed to providing excellent educational opportunities to the communities it serves. We recognize basic needs - including things like food, housing and transportation - can have a direct impact on the well-being and success of our students. To assist our community in meeting these needs, we've compiled a list of resources.
Food Pantry
The mission of the Riverland Food Pantry is to fight food insecurity in the Riverland community by providing food, clothing, and household items to students in need.
The Riverland Food Pantry is available to all current, enrolled Riverland students facing food insecurity. Food insecurity is defined as a lack of access to reliable food sources which may include anxiety over having enough food, a shortage of food in the house, reduced quality or variety of food, or interrupted patterns and reduced food intake
Advocacy Services
Student's today have a broad range of needs that must be met in order to be successful academically and personally. While students are striving for many of the same things students needed in the past: connections to others, a sense of mattering, a life plan or goal, and a sense of their own identity – today’s students must accomplish this during a time of intense economic uncertainty and constant change.
Wellness Center
The purpose of the Blue Devil Wellness Center is to provide safe and equitable access to recreational activities for all Riverland students and to increase student wellness.
